The Bell Choir generally plays for festival services (installations of pastors/bishops, and if we ever elect a Pope), Easter and especially Christmas Eve.  Compared to Zion’s other music activities it is a low-commitment endeavor.  When you volunteer, your name goes on a list and as Advent approaches Susan calls to see your availability to practice a few times before the performance services.

To conserve space on the ground floor, the bells are generally set up on the right side of the balcony, and it is impossible for all but the furthest-left-side congregation members to see who is playing which bells.  If you screw up, no one will know, and if you’re playing one of the low bells, they’ll probably assume it was Cartney.

Please consider joining us and helping improve our Christmas.
