WELCA

What is WELCA?

 

It’s an easy way to say Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are the women’s ministry organization of the church.

 

WELCA is separately incorporated and not an auxiliary of the church. We are financially independent and responsible for our financial affairs. Financial support comes from individual offerings, the Annual Barn Sale, and donations to the Thrift Shop.

 

The Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America gather for service, study, advocacy, fellowship, and more. We are active in many areas altar guild, decorating the church, cooking for different functions, office help, and completing quilts for the LWR Mission. All of these women are dedicated to their faith in Jesus Christ.

 

All women of Zion are automatically members of WELCA and are invited to attend Meetings and Gatherings of the group.
